Despite popular belief, yogurt isn't just for breakfast. Yogurt packs a nutritional punch as a great source of protein and calcium. Yogurt can be used in everything from dips to dinners creating a healthy snack for the whole family. The following recipe for Yogurt Bars serves twelve. Sweet summertime!

  • 6-8 ounce containers of nonfat yogurt
  • 1/4 Cup each of chopped mixed toppings such as strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, mango, banana, dried cranberries, granola, coconut flakes and chopped walnuts

Place each of the toppings in a small dish or bowl. Reusable cupcake liners are great for this snack! Place the dishes or bowls on a tray and fill with yogurt. Allow the children to choose which toppings they want for their yogurt. This is a great way to keep the children entertained during these hot summer days.
